Spectrum Family Fun Fishing Day – June 12, 2021
New Insights for Residential Housing
Spectrum Family Fun Day
UR Worth It! was a key sponsor for Spectrum’s annual fishing event for families and children. The event provided an ideal venue for introducing our new program: A Place 4 Matthew. With plans for residential housing and training programs, our goal is to offer residential, educational and training solutions for adults with Autism on the severe spectrum, and the families and caretakers who support for them.
Diane London, UR Worth It! founder, provided an overview of the organization, followed by comments and testimonials from Judge Lee and his wife, along with Gary Dennis, and the Kirschner family (Barb and Steve, parents of Joshua and his twin sister Jenna). These parents shared their journeys seeking a permanent housing solution for their families.
Hundreds of people enjoyed a spectacular summer day in Suwanee, GA, with fishing, horseback riding, balloon art, games and more. Supervised by volunteers and parents, children of all ages experienced fun, new challenges and revisited favorite activities. Drawings for prizes made for a fun finish to the day.
